Full Moon Party 10 August 2014 Koh Phangan, Thailand.
What is the Full Moon Party like at Supermoon? When the moon is so big and so close to Earth that it is hard to believe your own eyes. Does it change something about the Full Moon Festival, how it looks and feels?
Well, for us, it was definitely a unique situation. When we saw all those thousands of joyous party people, we believed in Summer Christmas. Only with sand instead of snow, and palms instead of Christmas trees.
This was the 13th Full Moon Party for our team. Fully equipped and ready for anything, we made our way to the party. But at the farthest end of Haad Rin, we suddenly realized the Full Moon Party could still be surprising – even on our second year here. A colorful stream of party people overflowed us, and ran to the very center of the festival. It was incredible.
And here we were, strung with cameras, and paddling through an enormous live current. Hearing tens of languages and seeing smiles on everyone’s faces. A gigabyte of amazing shots and hours of video couldn’t represent this celebration of life.
Probably, this is one of main features which attracts people from around the world here. You can experience your usual life at home, but at a Full Moon Party you can totally relax. You can free yourself, and break all the ties of burden that seize at your heart. You’ll be surrounded by the same free, joyful people and even if you talk in different languages, you’ll understand each other and can be friends.
Under the pressure of the Full Moon Party, barriers are crashing. Differences become meaningless and all hearts start to beat in one rhythm. The feeling of union covers all travelers. And above is the huge mystic moon, winking from the dark sky as if to say: use every moment of your life. Eventually all these beautiful moments gather in one recall about paradise island, Koh Phangan. The place where there are no worries and the party goes on all night long.
