There is no other DJ in all of S.E. Asia that has achieved so kind of recognition as Graham Gold. 8 years in the DJ Magazine Top 100 with 5 of those years in the top 40. He was voted the world’s Best Trance DJ at the Underground Music Awards in 2003. ThaiPartyfor.Me found DJ Graham Gold at glorious Full Moon Party, in pause between high style techno tracks he told us about his music, his life on Koh Phangan island and showed his “dry bag” with interesting stuff in it.
Graham: I have been the main resident at Tommy Resort for just under three years, and in that time, we have now become the No 1 Sound stage on the beach, due to our forward thinking music policy. While most of the other stages just bosh out old hits, partying at Tommy is the same as if you were partying at the big electro/progressive/trance stages at Kazantip, Tomorrowland, SW4, Summafielddayze or any big festival around the world, except of course our sound system is not up to that quality, but it’s still the best on the beach.
We try and take care of the clubbers who party with us and make a monthly flyer with the do’s and don’t at Full Moon. We advise people NOT to take drinks form strangers, to drink sensibly and not to buy drugs on the beach(these last 2 are of course impossible to enforce but at least we give the advice).
An essential Full Moon item at this time of the year as it’s monsoon season! Thankfully, even when it rains hard, it does not deter too many people form having the party of a life time, after all many have planned their visit to Koh Phangan for months, even years!!
